Nuvola Rossa Bookshelves

Since the 1970s, the design community has celebrated the Nuvola Rossa bookcase for its simple design and whimsical interplay of shapes. Revolutionary in construction, the shelving unit features diagonal bracing struts that form the structural frame. Hinges allow it to be folded and easily moved or stored, giving Nuvola Rossa added functionality as a room divider.

Vico Magistretti's iconic foldable Cassina shelving, whose sculptural diagonal bracing works equally as storage or room divider.
